Penso que os primeiros desenhos e pinturas das crianças
são sempre uma projecção do seu próprio corpo
sobre a superfície plástica
(parede, quadro preto, chão, areia da praia, papel).
E sei isso também pela via médica, neurológica, fisiológica,
sei que a consciência do corpo se adquire no contacto
com outros corpos, e com o próprio corpo.
O movimento é a primeira forma de pensar.
O bebé pensa e comunica o seu pensamento
através do movimento.
Dizendo adeus, dizendo não, dizendo sim,
jogando às escondidas com o lençol,
e fazendo o «esconde-esconde», não é?
Dizendo: « onde põe o pipi o ovo?»
Porque quando ela se esconde deixa de ver a mãe,
e isso significa que a mãe desapareceu
e que é ela que a fez desaparecer.
E quando ela destapa a cara e vê a mãe,
sorridente e jubilosa,
entra também numa atitude de júbilo,
porque é como se tivesse o poder de fazer reaparecer a mãe.

In August 1939, Stalin entered into a non-aggression pact with Nazi Germany
that divided their influence and territory
within Eastern Europe, resulting in their invasion of Poland
in September of that year, but Germany later violated
the agreement and launched a massive invasion
of the Soviet Union in June 1941.
Throughout the period of the partitions,
political and cultural repression of the Polish nation
led to the organisation of a number of uprisings
against the authorities of the occupying Russian,
Prussian and Austrian governments.
Notable among these are the November Uprising of 1830
and January Uprising of 1863,
both of which were attempts to free Poland
from the rule of tsarist Russia.
The November uprising began on 29 November 1830 in Warsaw
when, led by Lieutenant Piotr Wysocki,
in that city revolted.
They were joined by large segments of Polish society,
and together forced Warsaw's Russian garrison
to withdraw north of the city.
