Each one has to learn how to 'own' it,
live with it
and not let it control his/her life.
Each person has to discover the meaning of their lives,
the meaning of their brokeness and weakness.
People who have suffered
seem to understand much better the pain
of other people.

Jean Vanier
1999

Let us imagine a party of tourists who have set out to climb a difficult peak, and let us take a look at them some hours after they have started. By this time we may suppose the party to be divided into three sorts of elements.

Teilhard de Chardin
